Heat the olive oil in a large soup pot over medium heat. Add the onion, carrots, and celery. Cook for 6-8 minutes until soft.
Add the garlic, oregano, and salt/pepper, cooking for 1 minute.
Pour in the diced tomatoes (with juices) and vegetable broth. Bring to a boil.
Add the pasta and the drained cannellini beans.
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer uncovered for about 10-12 minutes, or until the pasta is al dente. The starch from the pasta and beans will naturally thicken the soup.
