  • Firm Tofu400 g, sliced into rectangles
  • Olive Oil1 tbsp
  • Garlic2 cloves, minced
  • Soy Sauce2 tbsp
  • Gochugaru (Korean Chili Flakes)1 tbsp
  • Honey1 tsp
  • Onion0.5 medium, sliced
  • Sesame Oil1 tsp
  • Cooked Rice2 cups

Instructions

    Pat the tofu slices dry with a paper towel.

    In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, gochugaru, honey, minced garlic, sesame oil, and 3 tablespoons of water.

    Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Fry the tofu slices for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.

    Scatter the sliced onions around the tofu in the pan.

    Pour the sauce mixture over the tofu and onions. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce has reduced and coated the tofu.

    Serve hot with cooked rice.
