  • Yellow onion, chopped1 piece
  • Garlic, minced2 cloves
  • Canned crushed tomatoes28 ounces

  • Milk1 cup
  • Fresh basil, chopped0.25 cup

Instructions

    Melt the butter in a large pot over medium heat.

    Add the chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.

    Add the garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

    Stir in the crushed tomatoes and Onion. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.

    Reduce heat to low and stir in the milk and fresh basil.

    Use an immersion blender to puree the soup until smooth and creamy.
