Preheat your oven to 500°F (260°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to preheat.
Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12-inch circle.
Spread the crushed tomatoes evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Season with a pinch of salt.
Tear the fresh mozzarella into pieces and scatter them evenly over the tomato sauce.
Drizzle the pizza with olive oil.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden-brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly charred.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves immediately after removing from the oven, slice, and serve.
